About Abraham Anthony
(II) Abraham Anthony, son of John, was born in Portsmouth. On Dec. 26, 1671, he married Alice Wodell, daughter of William and Mary Wodell, and they became the parents of thirteen children. He died Oct. 10, 1727, and she passed away in 1734. He wrote his will June 25, 1727 and it was proved on October 19, 1727. His son William was executor. He held many offices of trust in Portsmouth. He was a freeman on April 30, 1672. He served as Deputy from 1703-1705 and again from 1707 to 1711. On January 4, 1704 he and three other men were given authority to see the laws of the colonies printed. From 1709 to 1710 he was Speaker of the House of Deputies.

Biography
Abraham was a freeman in Portsmouth on April 30, 1672. From 1703 to 1705 and 1707 to 1711 he was Deputy from Portsmouth to the General Assembly and in 1709 and 1710 he served the colony as Speaker of the House of Deputies.
