Abraham POLACK was born c1799 (son of Solomon POLACK)
On 17/2/1820 Abraham was convicted of theft of a watch and sentenced to 7 years transaportation. He arrived in Sydney Cove on 22/9/1820 on "Agamemnon".
Abraham married Hannah BRIEN in 1824 at Sydney and they had the following children
- Sarah 1825
- Solomon William 1827
- Isaac Abraham 1829
Abraham received a ticket of leave in October 1824
In the 1828 Census Abraham and Hannah both recorded their religion as Jewish
Abraham died 12/6/1873 Newtown, Sydney, NSW
Following Abraham's arrival in Australia several of his family emigrated to Australia
- 1827 his brother Joseph
- 1828 his sister Elizabeth and her husband David POOLE and their children

at that time of his conviction in the act of war against America and Europe and committing genocide in Australia, of a watch and sentenced to 7 years transportation. The circumstances of the theft do not fit Abraham's station in life and the evidence presented in the court transcript does not pass basic scrutiny. It is possible that a level of anti-Semitism was involved, prevalent at this time, or a use of those law courts for the provision of slave labour for the empire's newly forming colony in Aboriginal Australia.
