Adalbert de Grandson, "Adalgold" dit "de la Sarraz"

Adalbert III de Grandson (1025 - after 1060), known as Adalgold, known as "de la Sarraz", qualified as "primate of the Château de Grandson" , he is mentioned in his father's donation to the convent of Romainmôtier of property in Arnex but also in a charter by which his son Rigaud made a donation to the convent of Romainmôtier.

His wife is unknown, he has:

• Conon who follows,
• Rigaud, he makes a donation to the convent of Romainmôtier of property he owns in Tritigny. He is described as an attorney of Rodolphe II de Montricher , his cousin. During the year 1084 he witnessed several donations made to the Romainmôtier monastery of salt boilers in Salins.
  He marries Hélène from whom he has:
  • Otton, Adémar, Artaud (prior of Romainmôtier), Jarenton (abbot of Saint-Bénigne) and Pierre (monk at Romainmôtier).

ADALBERT de Grandson ([before 1025?]-after 27 Sep 1049). His birth date is estimated on the assumption that he was adult during his dispute with Romainmôtier. Seigneur de Grandson: an undated charter which names “Gregorius episcopus” [Pope Gregory VI 1045-1047], addressed to Odilo Abbot of Cluny [994-1049], reports attacks on Romainmôtier by “Adalbertus princeps castri Grantionensis cum suis militibus”[1113]. An undated charter, maybe dated to 27 Sep 1049, records [presumably the same] dispute between Romainmôtier and “Adalbertus” regarding “villa...Ferrarius” taken by “senior Adalbertus”, naming “domnus Otto filius eius”[1114]. Charrière analyses this dispute in detail[1115]. Adalbert is named as father of Othon, Conon and Rigaud in the [1075/87] charter quoted below.
