Adaline and Lt. Col. Ransom Wells married in KY and moved to Saline County, MO in 1836. They moved to Knob Noster, MO in 1852. Ransom was married three times. Apparently his third wife was named Adaline as well.
Ransom's children by his first wife: living were his sons Edmond, William H. and John W.; his daughters were Charity Ann Grinstead, Julia Ann Underwood and Clarinda C. Grishim. Daughters Brunetta Divers and Orpha Stephens and Adaline Carmack were dead.
Ransom had no children by his second wife. But third wife Adaline had daughters Theodocia (married again to Robert Fisher), Jessie Alvanetta, Leonia, Parapa, Florence and Ida Wells. When he wrote his will in 1881, all daughters except Theodocia Fisher were living with him.
Her obituary says that she was married to John Brockman (1845). There are no records of that marriage. Brockman died and she later married Joseph Hall. There were children by this marriage. She was the third wife of Ransom Wells with whom she had 10 children.
