http://www.stirnet.com/genie/data/british/cc4rz/cunningham04.php
- Adam Cuninghame of Bedlan, 1st of Caprington m. (c1425) ?? Wallace, heiress of Caprington (dau of Sir Duncan Wallace of Sundrum)
- 1. Adam Cuninghame, 2nd of Caprington (d 1497) BLG1952 gives dates for this Adam as 1426-97 but it is not clear whether or not these were the dates of his birth & death or the period when he was laird. implying that his father either died in 1426 or handed over the estate to him at that time or that that was the year that he obtained Caprington through his mother, with his father being identified as the 1st laird 'de facto' rather than 'de jure'. 'History of the County of Ayr' (James Paterson, vol 1, 1847, p427), which follows the estate of Bedlan (Baidland) down this line for another 2 generations, omits this generation.
- A. Sir Adam Cuninghame, 3rd of Caprington m. Isobel Craufurd (dau of Malcolm Craufurd of Kilbirnie)

To the Curator of Managers of "Adam Cunninghame of Capringtoun, 1st Earl of Caprington", I am contacting you about his profile: https://www.geni.com/people/Adam-Cunninghame-of-Capringtoun-1st-Ear...
My cousin Adam's name should be written as: Adam Cunningham, 1st Lord of Caprington
While the House of Cunningham of Caprington is still very much alive with or seat at Caprington Castle, there is not and never has been an earldom of Caprington. The list of earldoms of Scotland can be verified here:

Thank you for correcting this, Dr. Jim Cunningham Clan Cunningham International
