Adeline “Addie” J. Leverson, 89, of Fergus Falls, passed away peacefully, on Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Sanford Health in Fargo, ND. Adeline Josephine Moum was born on April 23, 1926, in Ayr, ND, to Phillip and Cora (Hagen) Moum. She was baptized and confirmed in Ayr Lutheran Church. Addie graduated from Ayr High School in 1943 and then graduated from Concordia College in Moorhead, in 1947, where she received her Bachelors of Arts Teaching Degree in Home Economics with a minor in Biology. She furthered her education at Mankato State University and North Dakota State University. Addie was a teacher in Alvarado, Marshall and Benson, all in Minnesota, Crosby, ND, and Ipswich, SD. She was also a teacher on a U.S. Army Base in Bremerhaven, Germany. When she returned to the states, she taught in LeSueur, MN. While in LeSueur, she became the first home economist for the Green Giant Company, working several summers for them. In 1962, she moved to Fergus Falls where she began teaching eighth grade Home Economics, retiring in 1985, after thirty-seven years in the profession.

On December 27, 1966, she was married to LeRoy Leverson at First Lutheran Church in Fergus Falls, becoming an instant mother to two daughters, Katherine and Constance. The family made their home in Fergus Falls, where she has lived since. Addie loved to cook and sew. She enjoyed traveling and wintering in Mesa, Az. She was an avid reader and Minnesota Twins fan. She volunteered her talents to the Lake Region Healthcare Auxilliary and the Fergus Falls Concert Series. Addie was an active member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church in its altar guild and WELCA.
