MEMORIAL PHOTOS 2 FLOWERS 2 Adelle was the oldest child of Betty and Remer Godwin. Upon graduation from Boston High School, she attended Joy Business School.

On Aug. 6, 1936, she married her beloved husband Alvan Fletcher Kimbrough, who preceded her in death on July 18, 2007.

Mrs. Kimbrough was very active in First Baptist Church where she was a WMU leader, a Sunday School teacher and part-time librarian. She dedicated her life toward helping others through her volunteer work with Red Cross, March of Dimes, American Heart Association, American Cancer Society and Parent Teacher Associations. She worked diligently toward promoting and helping to establish local organizations including Thomasville Landmarks, Thomas County Historical Society, youth programs for UDC and various docent programs.
