A Patriot of the American Revolution for New Jersey. DAR Ancestor # A072679
He was an assessor of Hardwick Township for 3 years 1782-1784. He was elected freeholder in 1789 and was a member of teh town committee for 5 years 1788-1791 and 1796. He was a ruling elder in the Hardwick Presbyterian Church.
He lived near the Yellow Frame Church went on a business trip to Trenton, NJ he was taken sick there and started back home at once, but only got to within 10 miles of home. He died at Hope (1796) he was buried in the Yellow Frame Cemetery with Military honors a fact indicating that he was an officer in the military.
