Alexander lived and died in Lancaster County, PA. His son, Alexander, was unnamed and unbaptized at the time of his will. The will was made 17 Mar 1748 and proved in 1749. A stepdaughter, Elizabeth McNute, b. 1720, is also mentioned, giving rise to speculation as to a possible maiden name different from McNute as listed for the wife, Miriam. One note sent said that her name was Sterrett; no verification provided, however.
