Ralph Farnham married by 1628 Alice _____.
On 13 July 1635, "Ralph Farman," barber, aged 32, "Alice Farman," aged 28, "Mary Farman," aged 7, "Tho[mas] Farman," aged 4, and "Ralph Farman," aged 2, were enrolled at London as passengers for New England on the "James."
They had five children (recorded at Andover): Mary Poor, Thomas, Ralph, Sarah Abbott Ingalls, & John.
She married (2) in Gloucester on the 18th of June 1648 Solomon Martin ("Solloman Martin, ship carpenter, and Ales Varnam, widow, of Ipswich").
Alice didn't marry again until 1648. Her second husband was a widower, Solomon Martin, who came over on the same ship as the Farnhams when he was 16. About 1652 Alice and Solomon moved to Andover, Mass.; the five known Farnham children also moved to Andover around the same general time. Solomon was a ship's carpenter--sailing on ships to do carpenter work--and in 1662 town records refer to him as absent these "6 or 7 years." Alice probably died in the 1670's, when her house was sold.
Alice remarried in Gloucester, MA 18 Jun 1648 to Solomon Martin (information provided by Russell C. Farnham)
Alice died after 1648.
