GEDCOM Note (Research): Origin of the Name Kilborn is English, a variant spelling of Kilburn, a habitational name from a place in North Yorkshire or one in Derbyshire, both of uncertain etymology. Possibly named for the Old English personal «i»Cylla«/i» of Old English «i»cyl(e)n«/i» 'kiln' + «i»burna«/i» 'stream'.
