John Goddard died in 1567 having left a will naming his (second) wife Alice and children Anthony, Thomas, William, Edmund, Ann, and Vincent.
"John Goddard, of Standon Hussey, Wilts, esq. Will dated July 12, 1567. [31 Steward.] To be buried in Hungerford Church. My sons Anthony, Thomas & William. My daughter Ann. My son Vincent. My wife Alice. My son Edmonde. My son in law John Croke. My manor of Clyffe Pyppard. My brother Edmund Hungerford. My cousin John Tutt."[1]
