About Ambrosio Delgado
Ambrosio Afan Delgado was a Filipino lawyer. He also a delegate of the Malolos Congress in 1898.
Born on December 7, 1869 in Daan Estacion, San Jose, Bulakan, Bulacan. Son of Nemesio Rodriguez Delgado and Manuela de Guia Afan. Graduated from Bachiler en Artes at Ateneo de Manila in 1885 and Law at the University of Sto Tomas. Appointed by President Emilio Aguinaldo to be a member of the Congress of Malolos in 1898 and was once the provincial fiscal of Bataan. Married to Juanita Ycasiano of Sta Ana, daughter of Don Jacinto "Tintoy" Ycasiano who became the gobernadorcillo of Bulakan, Bulacan in 1874 and 1900. His brother is former Senator Francisco "Paco" Delgado (1951-1957).
When he got married, he lived in the large house of the Ycasianos in Sta Ana which is now called Casa Delgado. The antique image of San Pedro that is paraded in the Parish of Nuestra Senora de la Asuncion every Holy Day belongs to the couple Don Ambrosio and Doňa Juanita Delgado.
Died on April 22, 1923.
