About Amelia “Milly” Chrisman

Isaac & Jane (Scott) Chrisman had six (6) children:

4.1. Nimrod Chrisman[li] , b. 15 Oct 1776, Rye Cove Fort, Scott Co., VA[lii]; d. 1866[liii], Pennington Gap, Lee Co., VA[liv]; m. 1796[lv] to Amelia "Millie" Marcum[lvi] , b. Oct 1774, VA[lvii].

From the Early Settlers of Lee County, Virginia and Adjacent Counties, Volume II, Hattie Muncy Bales, 1977:

Nimrod Chrisman (son is Isaac Sr.), according to the late Marvin V. Koger, Knoxville, Tennessee, a descendant of Nimrod, married Milly Marcum daughter of Samuel Marcum. Nimrod Chrisman died in 1862 and is buried in the old Joseph Ely family graveyard, where his half-sister, Fanny (Hix) Ely is buried, overlooking the North Fork of Powell River, Pennington Gap, Virginia. It is not known where his wife, Milly, is buried, or the date of her death. They had children, but very little is known of the family.
