Mrs. Amelia Johnson, 93, Dies Mrs. Amelia Johnson, 93 of 2026 E. Washington ave., died today at her home. SHe was the former Amelia Rockney. Her husband, Andrew, died in 1949.
Mrs. Johnson was born in the town of CHristiana in 1869, a daughter of the late mr. and Mrs. TOsten Rockney. SHe and her husband farmed many years in the town of BUrke. Since her husband's death, she had lived in Madison with her daughrter, Mrs. Cecelia ROberts, at the E. Washington avenue address.
She was a member of the Burke LUtheran Church.
Besides her daughter, Mrs. JOhnson is survived by a son, TOsten Johnson, Route 1, DeFOrest; a sister, Mrs. Celia Strommen, 4209 Winnequah rd., Madison; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchidlren.
The body is at the GUnderson funeral home, 1936 Winnebago st. here. THe fmaily requested that flowers be omitted. Friends may give memorials, if desired, to either Trinity Lutheran church or to BUrke Lutheran Chruch.
