Maria - born 13 Nov. 1794. She married George R. Floyd, brother of Gov. Floyd of Virginia. They had one son, John Floyd, who settled in the west. He was an Indian fighter and surveyor and did lots of exploring in Kentucky. These are named for him: Floyd's Fort, Floyd's For of Salt River, and Floyd Street in Louisville. His father, George Rogers Clark Floyd, was named after the famous George Rogers Clark.
