About Ann Doss Wingo
Daughter of Robert Taylor and Elizabeth Welch Taylor. First married to John Doss on January 26, 1680 and then married a second time to Thomas Wingo on July 15, 1688 at Christ Church Parish in Middlesex County Virginia. Related to President of the United States Zachary Taylor and James Madison.
http://news.rootsweb.com/th/read/DOSS/2012-09/1347546877 Christ Church Parish Register, Middlesex Co., Va. (which I'll refer to here as "CCPR") lists marriage: "John Doss and Ann Taylor was Married the 26th of January 1679." CCPR lists the marriage of Ann Doss and Thomas Winger on 15 July 1688, and the death of Ann Wingo (sic) on June 15, 1726. [The remarriage of Ann Doss less than two years after the death of "John Dawd" shown above serves to add weight to our belief that John Dawd was in fact our John Doss. The same researchers believe this is our Ann remarrying, and that this is a record of her death. The parish records tend to strengthen this argument, as Ann Wingo and Isabel Herrin seemed to be neighbors, or even living in the same house; they may have both been living with John Doss the younger when they died (see his record).]
Daughter of Robert Taylor and Elizabeth Welch Taylor. First married to John Doss on January 26, 1680 and then married a second time to Thomas Wingo on July 15, 1688 at Christ Church Parish in Middlesex County Virginia. Related to Presidents of the United States James Madison, William Henry Harrison, James K. Polk, Zachary Taylor, and Benjamin Harrison.
I resolved a duplicate for Ann Wingo as there seems to be some confusion with her mother-in-law, Ann Wingo who seems to also have a maiden name of Taylor. Ann Doss Wingo (Taylor) was born in Christ Church circa 1655. Her mother-in-law Ann Wingo (Taylor) was born in England in 1630 and immigrated to the US, dying Middelsex County, Virginia.
