"Josiah De Wolf m. (1) Anna Waterman, b. 1689, d. Dec. 21, 1752
Anna Waterman was the dau. of Sergt. Thomas Waterman of Norwich, Conn., and Miriam Tracy, b. 1648. Through her mother who was dau. of Lieut. Thomas Tracy of Norwich, b. Nov. 7, 1610, Tewksbury, England, she was the direct descendant of Sir William Tracy of Toddington, on of the Knights of Edward I, 1288, and his ancestor, the Sire De Tracy, a Norman Baron of William the Conqueror, and through the Princess Gode of her father Aethelred II., of England; she was also a great-aunt of Gen. Benedict Arnold.
