About Anna Guagliardo
Arrived at Port of New Orleans aboard S.S. San Giorgio, 24 Oct 1894, with [daughter] Isabella [sic] Scaletta.
Arrived at Port of New York aboard S.S. Mendoza, 25 Jun 1912, with children Antonia and Isabella. Going to join husband Loreto Scaletta, Chicago, Illinois. Previously in US from 1900-1910.
She left Chicago with her daughter Isabella McNeil's family (Her daughter's husband LeRoy Francis McNeil and children Francis Anthony O'Day and Jack Thomas McNeil). They settled on a farm at the Tex-Arkana line in Arkansas. The rest of her children and their descendants did not see her again and as decades went on they only knew that she had disappeared with her daughter and never seen again.
According to Private, Anna Guagliardo asked for LeRoy Francis McNeil to take her out to the front porch to see the sunset and said that it was her last. When she died, LeRoy Francis McNeil and Isabella McNeil had another daughter and named her after her: Lillian Betty La Chance
