Annas 'Anna' Comber was born in 1528, perhaps in Devon, England. She is seen as buried in 1585 at St. John the Baptist Churchyard, Yarcombe, East Devon, England. Alternate death date is 1583 in Tiverton, Devon.

She was not the daughter of William Comber, of Shermanbury in Sussex & Margaret Comber. Sussex is not near Barnstaple, Devon, where she married Nicholas Cleavinger (b. abt 1525 - d. 1583) in 1547.
