"Annie" and her sister Catherine appear in the 1875 census at age 6 and her sister Catherine as age 8; Catherine and Annie are born in Cattaraugus County and the eldest sister, Mary age 12 born in Erie, County. Father John is 54, born in Germany and his wife Catherine is 42 also born in Germany. They are living at 4 Wood St. in Ashford, Cattaraugus, New York.

Anna Bigelow appears in the 1930 NY census, with her husband and grandchildren. Her birthdate however is given as 1870. :)

Notes: ECKERT - (4/6/2000) -- My GGs, Martin Eckert (1832-1911) and Frances Wilkelow Eckert (1844-1912) are buried in Woodstock. Their daughter Minnie Alice Eckert (1886-1974) married Eugene Hardenbergh Hoornbeck (1877-1934). Minnie Alice was probably the youngest child in the family. Martin may have immigrated from Holland. Frances Wilkelow may have Native American ancestry. I would be interested in any information about Eckerts or Wilkelows in Ulster County.
