Ansel Jarrell

Ansel Jarrell was born in c. 1820 in Kentucky. He was the son of Mary Jarrell. His father can not be documented, but family tradition, circumstantial evidence and DNA support the idea that it was James Pigg Jr. Ansel married Elizabeth Frazier, daughter of William B. Frazier and Susannah McBrayer, on 18 July 1852 at Floyd County, Kentucky. He died before 1900.

Ansel Jarrell appeared on the census of 6 August 1850 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Ansel age 25 born in Kentucky, head of house. Ansel Jarrell appeared on the census of 11 August 1860 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Ansel age 40 head of house. He appeared on the census of 29 August 1870 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Ansel age 51 born in Kentucky, head of house. He appeared on the census of 22 June 1880 at Floyd County, Kentucky, listed as Ansel age 61 head of house.
