ARCHIBALD BOYD OF BONSHAW (formerly ARCHIBALD BOYD OF NAIRSTON)

Archibald Boyd of Bonshaw is the second son of Robert, first Lord Boyd, and Lady Mariota Maxwell. The Scots Peerage V: 145-6 According to the Marquis of Ruvigny, he is noticed for the first time on 7 August 1492. Ibidem: 145 This date is wrong, however. He is in fact noticed as: "Archibaldo Boyd de Narstoune" on 7 August 1492, in the witness list of a discharge issued by Cuthbert, Lord Kilmaurs. The Douglas Book. Vol IIII: charter number 130 on pp. 135-6
