Notes for ARTHUR JORDON: There is an Arthur Jordan named in the head rights of John Moone in 1635. This record is the main basis for claiming that the Jordon children that follow as the next generation had a parent that came to Virginia. Richard Bevin is also named in the 1635 patent. This listing could be for the son Arthur Jordon who was only eight years old but the law directed that a head right must be 10 years of age. The preponderance of evidence indicates that Henry Brown acted as guardian for the Jordan Children.

”I am a direct descendant of Edmund Jordan son and heir of William Jordan, Other siblings to Edmund were Lawrence, William, Thomas and Katherine. I have found no mention of an Arthur. Where does he fit into the picture ? William died 7th May 1625. I was sent information from William's Will a while back, there was no mention of an Arthur. There is a Jordan Pedigree published in a Surrey Visitations. link Once again there is no mention of Arthur as a son to William and Katherine formerly Hussey. [Visitation,1623; Arthur I & II b.c.1595 & 1629]”
