Artie Johnson Of McLeansboro Dies At Age 93Mrs. Artie Johnson, 93, of McLeansboro, died at 4:45 pm Wednesday in Hamilton Memorial Hospital at McLeansboro.Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm Friday at the Donelson Funeral Home in McLeasnboro with the Rev. Denzil Clark officiating. Burial will be in Little Spring cemetery near McLeansboro.The body will lie in state at the funeral home where friends may call after 6:00 pm today.She was born Mar. 12, 1874, in Hamilton county the daughter of Thomas and Letha (Machalee) Brockett.She was married to Amos Johnson, who preceded her in death.Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Kate Biddle, Mrs. Pauline Braden, both of McLeansboro; several grandchildren; several great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.Mrs. Johnson was a member of Braden Valley Baptist church.
