About Barbara Mayers
Barbara was the daughter of Frederick Brown and Susanna Groff. Through her mother, she was descended from two early pioneers; Hans Herr spirtual leader the 1709 Mennonite settlers of the Pequea Valley and Hans Groff who immigrated in 1710. She and her husband, John, raised their sons and daughters on a bucolic farm that was part of Hans Groff's early land grant.
