THIS IS A MAJOR CONFUSION: Benjamin2 is listed by CC Baldwin as having children: Benjamin, Jonathan, Sarah (m. Robert Young) and Joseph (see Benjamin,his brother).....all records pertaining to son Joseph are recorded in the Supplement only.
Benjamin Baldwin, son of Joseph Baldwin and Hannah Whitlock, was b. c1642, in Milford, Conn., bapt. Mar. 23,1644. He m. as appears from a deed in Guilford, Conn., HANNAH SARGEANT, dau. of Jonathan, of Branford.
At the great emigration from Branford to Newark/Bloomfield, NJ., the Sargeants went, and Benjamin Baldwin and his wife also about 1668. He continued to live in Newark/Bloomfield, where his half-bushel was so much respected that it was made the standard. She d. before 1721. His will is dated 1726.
Children were: Benjamin (c1680), Jonathan, Sarah (m.Robert Young,who d. Nov. 1,1726, aged 63), and Joseph (see Benjamin, his brother).
