Bertram Francis Mayers

Bertram Mayers, 9 Fairway Drive, in Derry, phone 432-3794 in 1992. Widow, Betty, phoned me 2 Sep 1992, to tell me Bert had died last year. In fact, she said, he died twice; was in hospital in Portland, and she got a call from doc, saying he had died; later he called back, saying I don't know how to tell you this... Seems Bert had a living will, do not resuscitate, and nurses thought he died; hour later when they came to take him to morgue, he was sit- ting up! Died couple weeks later at home. Talked about the experience.
