1638 - Amsterdam, Government of Amsterdam, North Holland, Netherlands
Description:
I got this marriage announcement document for my ancestor Catalijn Donckes while in Amsterdam. The archivists there translated it and Catalijn was born "in an alley" in Amsterdam, Netherlands. I was told this means she was poor and she was Dutch. There are two x marks at the bottom and one of those is hers. The other belongs to Sander Glen, her soon to be husband.
