About Catherine Tennison
Origins
John Gresham first settled on the Isle of Kent (which at the time was being controlled by Maryland but claimed by Virginia) as he was noted as a witness to a document in February, 1639. Around this time he is thought to have married, wife’s name is unknown). He had at least 3 children with her: Katherine (~1640-Aft. 1711); Mary; and perhaps John.
