About Channa Tauber (Zwillinger)
Channa (Zwillinger) Tauber was born in Holesov, 1777, and died of pneumonia on 24 July 1826, age 48. Her marriage record refers to her as "Anna Zwillinger, age 20," but she was actually just 15 at the time.
Her death record calls her "Channa". At the time of her death, she was living in household #43 in Holesov's Jewish quarter. The surname "Zwillinger" (=“Teomim”) means "twin" in German, and there may have been some significance to this. Included in Channa's 11 children were three sets of twins.
Her paternal grandfather, R’ Markus Teomim-Zwillinger (1732-1794), was witness to her marriage.
