Wofford, named in his 1858 Habersham County will (copy filed in Bartow County Will Book) with children Rose, Kimsey and Mary and Allen's mother Tilda--all bequeathed to William B. Wofford's wife Racheal along with plantation in Habersham County (1000 acres dwelling and mills along canal and on Broad River,, plus one half of stock and farming utensils and household furniture).
William B. Wofford bequeathed to daughter Lydia Ann Wright: slaves Hannah, about 44, Jim, 27, Cinda, 23 and her child Hannah 18 months, and John, 8 years old.
William B. Wofford bequeathed to daughter Charlotte: slaves Sylvia, 50; Beck 25 and her three children Dan 7, Bird (boy) 5, and Lary 3; and Polly, 12.
William B. Wofford bequeathed to daughter Mary: slaves Harriet 35, and her 6 children: Margaret 18, Andrew 16, Robert 14, George 10, Jane 8, Catherine 6.
William B. Wofford bequeathed to daughter Martha Jane: slaves Allen, Parthenia, Rose, Kimsey and Mary after the death or marriage of Wofford's wife Racheal. Also Tempy, 16, Lewis 8, and Thomas 4.
Wofford sets apart the following negroes: Benjamin 45 and his wife Mary 37, and their 7 children: Rose 18, Reuben 15, Willis 12, Dennis 9, Kate 5, Georgia Anne 3. (only names 6 children) Orders executors to sell Ben and his wife and 7 children and apply proceeds to pay his debts. REmainder to be divided between his sons Charles Nelson, Benjamin Franklin, Absolum Polk, and Nathaniel. ALso gives sons lands in Murray County where he has been living lately, about 1000 acres on Conasauga River. Also lands in Habersham County about 3000 acres including lands given to wife Racheal, if she should die or marry.
Appoints brother Thomas J. Wofford his Executor as well as Trustee for daughters and guardians of minor sons. 21 April 1858; proved July 5 1858 [writing looks like 1838 in multiple places--but he refers to a previous will made 30 Dec 1856 which is clearly spelled out]
