About Derek Tran, U.S. Congress

Derek Truyen Tran (born December 22, 1980) is an American labor lawyer, veteran, and politician. He is the member-elect for the United States House of Representatives from California's 45th congressional district after defeating Republican incumbent Michelle Steel in the 2024 election.
