Andrea Navagiero´s Storia della Repubblica Veneziana records that "Domenico Michiel" was elected Doge in 1117[160]. He was elected Doge of Venice in 1117. "Dominicus Michaelis Venetie Dux, Dalmatie atque Croatie regni princeps" granted a third part of the Venetian colony of Tyre to Warmund Patriarch of Jerusalem by charter dated 1123[161].
