According to 'Findagrave.com':
Dorothy was the daughter of Robert Turnbull (1774-1853) & Isabella 'Isabel' Blakeburn of Tanfield. Robert was a Gardener of Beamish Red Row, Tanfield.
Dorothy was the second daughter called Dorothy the first being born in 1805 and died in 1808. Robert's Will in 1853 names his daughter Dorothy Greathead
Dorothy was the wife of George Greathead, also buried here. She married him in St John's Church, Newcastle-upon-Tyne in Duham, England on 3 May 1835.
They emigrated on the Martha Ridgway which left Liverpool 6 Nov 1841 and arrived in Nelson, New Zealand on 7 April 1842.
With them were their 2 children, William and George.
A daughter Jane was born on board but died a week later.
She had another 4 children - 3 in Nelson and John in Lower Hutt.
Dorothy died aged 78 from a stroke, 8 months before George and they are buried together
