About Efa ferch Gwrgan
Please see Darrell Wolcott: Hywel ap Gronwy of Deheubarth; http://www.ancientwalesstudies.org/id71.html. (Steven Ferry, July 24, 2020.)
From Darrell Wolcott, Center for the Study of Ancient Wales: "Efa ferch Gwrgan was not a daughter of the unnamed daughter of Cynfyn, Efa's mother was Nest ferch Gwyn ap Collwyn ap Ednowain, she born c. 1020. Bartrum shows this marriage for Gwrgan, but the sources he cited say "Nest ferch Gwyn ap Ednowain" and Bartrum could find no such lady elsewhere in his charts.
George Clark, in "Limbus Patrum Morganie et Glamorganie" says Gwrgan married "a daughter of Gwyn ap Collwyn ap Ednowain" but he added "Bendew" to Ednowain. He also confused Collwyn by saying the lady was "sister to Tangno". We make Nest an aunt of Trahaearn ap Caradog being sister to Caradog ap Gwyn. I suggest she proved unable to bring a male child to live birth, and after 5/6 years trying, Gwrgan put her aside for a new wife." (Steven Ferry, August 4, 2020.)
