BE1883 shows John de Montalt as elder brother, and married to widow Elene, then Milisent de Cantilupe.

In 24 Edward I [which was 20 November 1295-19 November 1296, see Regnal Calendar], Ellen, who was the wife of Robert Stockport, sued at Chester, Patrick de Haselwall and Lucy, his wife, for dower of 7 messuages, 2 carucates of land, 10 acres of meadow, 18 solidates rent, and a third part of a water-mill in Wideford. Patrick and Lucy replied that they held the said tenements in the name of dower of Cicely of the dower of Roger de Stokeport, her late husband, and warrantied Joan and Matilda, daughters and heirs of Richard de Stokeport, &c.[2] Again that year, Ellen, who was the wife of Robert de Stokeport, sued Patrick de Haselwell and his wife, Lucy, for dower of 7 messuages, 2 carucates of land, 1 mill, 18s of rent, and 18 acres of meadow in Wydeford.[3]
