Eliza Feribry Williams married Dr. John Bonner on 25 October 1825 in Claiborne, AL. Her middle name was a popular one among her relatives and had various spellings: Ferabee; Feraby; Ferebee; Fereby; Feribry; Feriby; Ferrabee; Pherabee; Pheribe; Pheribee; the one used here is the one used by Sue Bonner Thornton in "The Bonner Family History." Eliza, the daughter of Isaac Williams and Rachel Smith, was born in Fayetteville, Cumberland Co., NC on 27 May 1806. Her ancestors included many early settlers along the Atlantic seaboard. After marriage, she lived in Alabama before moving to Texas. Eliza Feribry Williams and Dr. John Bonner were parents of nine children: Mary Rachel; Dr. James Isaac; John Laird; William Theophilus; Andrew Samuel; Oliver Alexander; Eliza Jane; Irvine Hale; Arabella Williams. She died at Bonnerville, Freestone Co., TX on 27 March 1872.
