Ashley, Hugh (d. 1493). Son of Edmund Ashley (fl. c.1460-80) and his wife Margaret, daughter of Robert Turgis.
He married Elizabeth, daughter of Raynold Walwyn of Sussex, and had issue:
- (1) A daughter, who married Stephen Wallop of Over Wallop (Hants) and had issue three sons, from whom descended the family of the Earls of Portsmouth;
- (2) Henry Ashley (d. 1549) (q.v.). m. Radegan Gilbert (dau of Robert Gilbert of Somerset)
He inherited the Wimborne St. Giles estate from his father. I He died 29 April 1493.
