After his death, Daniel's children were placed as follows: John, Alexander and Daniel were placed under the care of Stephen Gill. Elinor was placed under the care of William Stephens. And, William was placed under the the care of John Warfield.

Later, Elizabeth married Stephen Gill (which one??) and lived on Brownes Chance for several years before moving to Baltimore.

"Anne Arundel co., Md. Indenture - 1699 WT No. 1 pg. 12; Elizabeth McComas:

Daniel McComas, late of Anne Arundel County, Maryland, deceased, and Elizabeth MaComus, the wfe and flower of Daniel MaComus had sons John, William, Alexander and Daniel. Elizabeth stated that it was the wish of Daniel that his children be free and that if possible Elizabeth should keep the lands and care for the children until they reached age seventeen years

She had no wish to go against him, but she could not support the children. It was Daniel's wish that if the children had to be bound out they should be free by the age seventeen years.

Elizabeth has to have them bound out to age seventeen years except that is she too should die she wished them free of indenture by age sixteen years. John was twelve on 14 July last (1699). William was ten years on 16 October last (1699). Alexander was seven years on the fourteenth of September last (1699). Daniel would be three on January wlth (sic) next (1700). 17 October 1699. /s/ Elizabeth (E, her mark) MaComus...
