Charter by which James III, King of Scots, confirms that he has given the lands of Cassilis and Dunnure, in the earldom of Carrick and sheriffdom of Ayr, in liferent to Elizabeth, Countess of Erroll. These lands had previously been resigned in her favour by her husband, John Kennedy, son and apparent heir of Gilbert, Lord Kennedy. RMS: charter number 1036

Lady Elizabeth Gordon was the daughter of Alexander Gordon, 1st Earl of Huntly and Elizabeth Crichton. She married, firstly, Nicholas Hay, 2nd Earl of Erroll, son of William Hay, 1st Earl of Erroll and Lady Beatrix Douglas, in 1461. She married, secondly, John Kennedy, 2nd Lord Kennedy, son of Gilbert Kennedy of Dunure, 1st Lord Kennedy and Catherine Maxwell, between 24 August 1467 and 12 August 1471. She died on 17 April 1500.1
Lady Elizabeth Gordon was also known as Lady Elizabeth Seton. As a result of her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Gordon was styled as Countess of Erroll in 1461. As a result of her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Gordon was styled as Dowager Countess of Erroll in 1470. . As a result of her marriage, Lady Elizabeth Gordon was styled as Lady Kennedy circa 1480.
