The Elizabeth who married Charles Cawthon was not the daughter of Thomas Womack and Mary Farley. She was the daughter of Abraham Womack and Elizabeth Unknown. On 25 May 1816 a lawsuit was filed in Caswell County, North Carolina by Josiah Womack, grandson of Abraham Womack, stating he was entitled to a portion of the estate of Abraham Womack, deceased. In his statement he names the children of Abraham Womack, "to wit, Abraham (who was my father), Elizabeth, Mary and Abner."
