Stiles, Henry Reed. The Stiles Family in America, Genealogies of the Connecticut/Massachusetts Family (Doan & Pilson, 1895). Pages 13-16. < Archive.Org >

Robert Stiles was married (by Bradstreet) October 4, 1660,[4] to Elizabeth (dau. of John and Anna) Frye, of Andover, Massachusetts,* who was born in England in 1637 see footnote, pp. 16, 17). According to Boxford records, Robert Stiles had a second wife also named Elizabeth, who survived him. He died July 30, 1690 Perle's History of Boxford, p. 28). This date is probably correct, but it does not tally with a record furnished us by Mr. Perley himself. To his widow Elizabeth was granted, one month after his death, the administration of his estate [Hist. Boxford, p. 28). She was admitted to the church February 21, 1703 Boxford Records). She must have been the person referred to in the following from the town records: "Mch. 2, 1696-7, a new road laid out to Widow Stiles' new field Hist. Boxford, p. 133). In 1702, Widow Stiles was admitted to full communion. Boxford Records.
