About Elizabeth Wadham
Display name should read: Lady Elizabeth (Wrottesley) Wadham of Shilston
Locking the name to the minimum of just two words means it is much harder to distinguish individuals and be certain as to who belongs to who. For example, if the maiden name (and married name) are both in the display field, researchers who might spend hundreds of hours adding lineages and history, can see and verify more readily, which generation leads to which maternal line. By limiting the name to merely the first and married name, it creates too much work! Furthermore, listing a distinguishing feature such as a date, place name or title allows researchers to keep more accurate track of a line of seven generations of, let's say, John Smith in a row. Distinguishing complicated generations is also far more interesting to the reader than a boring list of seven generations of just two words, John Smith. Besides, it is more historically and culturally accurate; and it is often essential to being able to locate individuals.
