About Emilio Jacinto
Emilio D. Jacinto was a Filipino revolutionary.
He dropped out of his law studies at the University of Santo Tomas, to join the revolution. He joined the Katipunan and took the name "Pingkian". He served Andres Bonifacio as his chief advisor and having penned the Katipunan's kartilya (the organization's primer for new members, which laid out the group's rules and principles), he was known as the "Brains of the Katipunan". After Bonifacio's death, he refused to join the forces of Emilio Aguinaldo.
