(Cte Bernard II "Plantevelue" D' AUVERGNE was born on 22 Mar 840-841 in Uzes, Languedoc, France 636 and died in 886 in Autun, Saone-et-Loire, Bourgogne, France 635.)
ERMENGARDE, daughter of BERNARD Comte [d'Auvergne] & his wife Lieugardis --- (-after 21 Jul 883). "Bernardus comes et uxor mea Hermengardis" donated property to Conques abbey by charter dated 21 Jul 883[126]. "Princeps et marchio Willelmus" donated property to the church of Holy Trinity "pro…animæ patris mei Bernardi et matris meæ Ermengardis…" by charter dated Nov 916[127]. Her parents are shown in Europäische Stammtafeln[128] but the primary source on which this is based has not yet been identified.

Bernard Plantapilosa or Bernard II of Auvergne (22 March 841 – 886[1]), or Plantevelue, son of Bernard of Septimania and Dhuoda, was the Count of Auvergne (as Bernard II) from 872 to his death. The Emperor Charles the Fat granted him the title of Margrave of Aquitaine in 885.
Family He married Ermengard, daughter of Bernard I of Auvergne (or perhaps of Guerin I).
