Esther Ellen Wainwright - Wilson - Guy, Convict "Prince of Wales" 1788

Esther ECCLES was born 2/7/1769 at Risdon, Lancashire (daughter of Edmund ECCLES and Anne OSBALDSTON)

Esther had a realtionship with ? WAINWRIGHT/MAINWRIGHT and started to use the name Ellen

Ellen was convicted of robbery (with Elizabeth THOMAS) and sentenced to 7 years transportation. She arrived in Sydney Cove on 26/1/1788 on "Prince of Wales".

Ellen had a relationship with James WILSON and they had the following children

• Mary Ann 1789 (died 1792)

Ellen and Mary Ann were sent to Norfolk Island in 1790

Ellen had a relationship with ? and they had the following children

• Henry 1791 (died young)
• Mary Ann 1795

Ellen had a relationship with Thomas GUY/GAY (they married on 24/5/1812) and they had the following children

• Ann 1800
• Elizabeth 1802
• Frances 1805

IEllen, Thomas and the 4 children moved from Norfolk Island to Tasmania, arriving on "City of Edinburgh" on 2/10/1808

Ellen died 8/11/1839 at Magra, Tasmania
