He married Walburga de Sille, daughter of Hon. Nicasius de Sille and Cornelia Meulmans, at Reformed Dutch Church, New Amsterdam, on 29 February 1660.

He came to New Amsterdam with his parents in about 1642. He was a merchant and trader for his father and moved in about 1658 to the South River (New Amstel, Delaware) when Vice-Director Jacob Alrichs, in a letter dated 17 Aug 1658, complained about the poor quality of the beaver skins brought to him by Captain Cregier's son Frans.

Administration of Frans Kregier's estate was granted on 10 July 1666, estate of Francis Cregier who died intestate at New Castle in Delaware Bay. Administration granted to his father Martin Cregier and brother-in-law Laurence De Silles.
