About Geoffrey I, Vicomte de Porhoët
Third son, and second to succeed to the title, of Eudo de Porhoët. Not to be confused with the later Geoffrey de la Zouche. Must have been of age by 1108, as he cosigned (or witnessed) a charter with his brothers Vicomte Josselin, Wihenoc, and Alain. His wife's given name was Hawise; her ancestry is unknown.
Henry I of England gave him a hundred in Devon circa 1131.
Geoffroy & his wife had five children: sons Eudes (Eudo, Odo), Joscelin, Alain, Etienne, and daughter Amicie. The third son, Alain, would establish himself in England as Alan la Zouche.
NONE OF GEOFFREY'S OTHER CHILDREN EVER USED THE NAME "ZOUCHE"!
