Before end of the century he migrated with his brothers (See above under
13 CHARLES), through N.C., to Ga., ultimately settling in Jones Co., where in Oct. 1808 he served as a juror (Williams, Jones County, p.1073) and where the 1811 tax list shows him owning 810 acres (ibid., p.751). There he d. in 1815 (Jones Co. MB, 1808–1818, p.103, dated first Mon. of Dec. 1815: “It is ordered that letters of administration on the estate of George Cabaniss be granted to Palatea Cabaniss, Henry B. Cabaniss, Harrison Cabaniss, and Robert McGough.”
